Vikings, Vikings Everywhere yet not a Prince in Sight!

Vikings, Vikings Everywhere yet not a Prince in Sight!

Dublin is a city for history and discoveries. And there is a museum there called 'Dublina' that is all about the Vikings and their role in Celtic History. It is very informative and even more entertaining to stroll through the marks the Vikings made, how they lived. And while they weren't referred to as princes, the important clansmen are prominently on display.

Some are armed and ready for battle.

Some with their trusty dogs. (And this guy actually looks like someone I dated in college!)

(This is only the second Irish Wolfhound I've seen here and the first one wasa lot livlier.)

And there was one there who creeped me out completely. This guy was a mash-up of a plywood cutout, and videotaped face. And he's set with a motion detector so as you approach him he looks right at you and begins his spiel. It was actually bit unnerving.

But I'd have to say the exhibit as a whole does bring history to life. They even have a real viking ship there.

Which is traditionally how they traveled of course. These days though, you don't have o look far to see Vikings they are all over Dublin!

And they are still very loud!
