I'm learning to Expect the Unexpected

I am living in a place where it seems the unexpected is the rule of the day.  I knew I was looking for a tiny town called Ballyhack and everyone said it would be obvious when I got there. The narrow winding roads were like a ribbon through the countryside and I have to say I wasn't even surprised to stop for a few sheep along the way. And that road came to a dead-end at a ferry dock where there was a petrol station, one bar and a handful of very small houses.

They were right, it was obvious. I mean I hadn't seen a sign for quite a few miles...but there was no doubt when you got there...you were at the ferry dock.

The ferry from Ballyhack to Passage East take about 10 minutes, if that, and carries about a dozen cars at a time. So if it happens to be full you just wait for the next one.

Once I had the rental car onboard and paid the toll I looked at the car next to me and it was a Bentley! Whaaaaat? I chatted with the driver who said it was actually a replica and he drove for weddings and special events.  But what a treat. The drive through the countryside...the ferry ride across and seeing a Bentley onboard. I followed him for a while when we exited the ferry just to see it driving along the countryside. What a great way to start the day!
