It must be spring!

It must be spring!

Now I have seen some new baby lambs in my time here in Ireland. Babies are all over the fields sticking close to their moms. But never have I seen anything like this, so close up.

I actually went to the Glengowla Mine, for a completely different story. (that I’ll get to soon enough) But when they said they had new baby lambs I couldn’t wait to see them. These twins are both girls and only 3 days old! So of course when they asked if I wanted to hold one, I did! So tiny. So sweet. And sooooo young.

The mama was a bit fretful and stayed right there while I held it. And she had a friend who had had triplets… a week before. Three lambs already getting fluffy at a week.

Look close the third baby is on the other side just ahead of the mama.

There are a lot of things to see in Ireland, but I have to admit that this will stick with me just like the castles, the green fields and the people.
