You're Never Really that far from Home
I dropped into a small quintessential pub downtown that's known for its traditional music and old world charm. After walking more than a mile looking for something as simple as an electric blanket, because it's already chilly here at night, I really just needed to sit down. And McGinn's presented itself at just the right time.
Of course there was a wall of alcohol behind the old carved bar and the line of taps numbered a dozen on each side. That's a lot of beer on tap.
I looked at the offering and there were all the usual suspects, Guinness, Hop House, Galway Hooker, Smithwicks, Heineken, Foster's and even Bud. But right there in the center of the taps was a very familiar sight indeed.
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.
And it went very well with that seafood chowder I had for lunch.
I guess you really never are too far from home.
