Ed Sheeran's House?
My kids were happy to come to Ireland again. After all having Christmas here together last year was something we all adored. They were excited for the graduation at hand, for my accomplishment and for the party that followed. I'd say they were even thrilled to make a trip to Barcelona for a few days to experience Spain. But there's no doubt that it was the house I rented for our stay in Galway that was most impressive. You can't really get more than 2 people in this wee house so I was exited for a little space myself. It was in an area I tried to live in when I first arrived, right on the Claddagh, on the water, walking distance to the pubs and it was three stories tall with enough rooms for friends and family.
But none of that registered with them. It was the fact that it was Ed Sheeran's house that really 'made' the trip for them.
Okay it wasn't really Ed's place but it is where he made the video for his song called Galway Girl. They made that connection right away. And we were only two doors away from it. So of course we just referred to it as Ed Sheeran's House the entire time.
We imagined he was looking out our windows, taking in the amazing view. He no doubt walked the same path we walked to the pubs and back. And he may even have taken out the trash to the common bins for the area...just like we did. Okay he probably has people for that. We don't. But we do have pretty active imaginations!
