When in Barcelona...

Walking through the open air market in Barcelona we stopped at a fruit and vegetable stand to pick up snacks for the day ahead.

So much to try!!!!!

Apples, bananas and carrots were easy picks but I always think you should try the odd ones. So I picked up a couple of these. They looked like green rats....or nubby cucumbers. They're actually a type of squash called a bitter melon or bitter squash.

These looked like a wanna-be avocado. They're called a custard apple.
