The Birds!

While my kids were here for my graduation, we decided to take a quick trip to Barcelona. First, let me just say that once you're this far, flights to Europe can be cheaper than buses and trains, as long as you just get all the booking information right the first time. Changing details will cost you an arm and a leg, but have your information straight and you can fly to London or Rome or Barcelona from Dublin for a song. So Barcelona it was.  It wasn't until we landed that we realized that none of us spoke much Spanish.

We had trouble getting taxis, we got lost on the metro, always going the wrong way. But once we got to the large Square in the center of the city, we were met by fabulous food, helpful people and ....birds!

That's right. Call it cheap entertainment if you want but for a euro you can buy a handful of birdseed and look at what that brings!
