Whether it’s the romanticism of riding an Irish pony along the beach or seeing Irish sheepdogs in action, Ireland has a lot fo offer animal lovers.

Horse riding is a popular part of a lot of Irish vacations, and there are a lot of places to do it on beaches all around the Island. Just know what you’re looking for and what you want out of the experience and you’ll find stables are more than willing to oblige.

Check out the BeachRiding Center in Cleggen which is in Connemara, which is near Clifden and where you’ll also find breeders of the famous Connemara ponies who also hold horse shows a few times a year.
